Vision™
This sauna room shows just how much
can be achieved when state-of-the-art joinery technology
is supported by close collaboration between skilled
designers and craftsmen who have a real gift for working
in wood. The all-glass front owes its exclusive look
to the arched shape of the side sections. The external
side walls and the frames for the door and window
are made of alder wood, while the walls and ceiling
inside are finished in lighter shades of aspen. The
skirting panels and backrests are also made of aspen
with exquisite, contrasting alder-wood detailing.Wooden
floor decking enhances the atmosphere of a “traditional”
sauna. The robust wooden construction in the centre
of the sauna room is designed as a guard for a Tylö
Mega Line™ sauna heater, to prevent bathers
from accidentally touching the hot metal sides.
Careful thought has been devoted
to creating a truly relaxing environment, so lighting
forms a key element of the overall design. The outside
is illuminated by downlights concealed in the projecting
soffits; inside, lamps hidden behind the backrests
bathe the walls in a pleasant, indirect light. The
ceiling has also been specially adapted to incorporate
a fibre optic system that can produce fascinating
lighting effects on the heater’s generously
proportioned stone compartment.
